“The Kenya Society of Hematology and Oncology (KESHO) held its 8th Kenya International Cancer Conference (KICC). This year’s theme was ‘Advancing Cancer Care in Africa in a Rapidly Changing World’.
Ahmed Dagane was the guest of honor on the third day and presented awards to the winning abstracts. He congratulated the winners and commended KESHO for its tireless efforts in advancing cancer care and research. He urged the attendees to continue in their pursuit of improving the lives of those affected by cancer.
KUTRRH contributed immensely to this year’s conference through the participation of 12 staff as faculty members in different capacities, including Interim President KESHO Dr. Helena Musau and Scientific Conference Chair 2024 Dr. Abeid Athman.
The KICC brings together a diverse range of specialists, including medical oncologists, oncology nurses, clinical oncologists, medical physicians, and radiation technicians. The conference was held from November 21st to 23rd in Kisumu, Kenya.”
