Today, I want to tell everyone about an outstanding, hardworking and compassionate woman who has served as a role model to me and inspired me over the years.
𝘿𝙧. 𝙕𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙖𝙛𝙞 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙙𝙪
Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu the President Elect (2024-2026) of 𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗖- 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹, is a pediatrician and global health advocate renowned for her dedication to women’s health and cancer care. A trailblazer in Nigerian healthcare, she founded Medicaid Radio-Diagnostics & Clinics, Abuja’s first comprehensive diagnostic center, to address significant gaps in medical services. Recognizing the pressing need for improved cancer care, she also launched the MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION which promotes cancer awareness, prevention, and access to treatment.
Dr Zainab has been in numerous positions over the years which she has used to impact people’s lives by supporting not only the fight against cancer, but also fight against illiteracy, poverty, Injustice, and empowering underprivileged communities.
I have had the privilege to witness Dr. Zainab’s remarkable philanthropy and accomplishments up close over the years. This unique perspective has allowed me to observe, firsthand, the dedication, skill, and vision that she brings to her work.
Dr Zainab’s ability to build a beautiful family while achieving impressive career growth has been a profound source of inspiration to me. Her dedication to both personal and professional growth serves as an exemplary model of 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 and 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.
In our hometown of Kebbi State, she is referred to as “Mother of Health” because of her dedication to the well being of all.
