Humaid Al-Shamsi: We are delighted to announce the condensed version of the ESMO Conference in Dubai next month
Humaid Al-Shamsi, Director of Burjeel Cancer Institute (BCI) Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared on LinkedIn:
“We are proud to share the distinguished successes achieved by our participation at ESMO this year:
- We have proudly announced the world’s first successful pregnancy in a stage 4 breast cancer patient, receiving global acclaim for this remarkable medical achievement by the Emirati Team.
- We have established partnerships in research with esteemed experts from the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.
- In collaboration with our brothers and sisters in Egypt, we have initiated a program to raise awareness about colorectal cancer in both the UAE and Egypt.
- We have extended invitations to numerous cancer specialists and experts to visit the UAE, in cooperation with the Emirates Oncology Society and Burjeel Oncology.
- We have acquired valuable insights into the latest advancements in cancer treatment, which we will soon introduce directly to our patients, starting this week, by the grace of God.
- Through our efforts, the UAE has gained international recognition in the field of oncology.
Furthermore, we are delighted to announce the successful partnership to organize a condensed version of the ESMO Conference in Dubai next month. This event aims to disseminate the latest developments to all oncology specialists in the UAE and the Gulf region. I’m humbled and honored of serving as the conference chairman.
