In Africa we need an ecosystem approach to women’s cancers—working with partners, governments and the private sector to bring a coordinated and resourced response to provide sustainable equitable healthcare to all women. I had the privilege to join the Go Further partners in Lesotho collaborating with the Ministry of Health and stakeholders in-country to understand the identified gaps at screening and treatment of women’s cancers and see how we can leverage our unique strengths to fill the gaps. Lesotho’s Ministry of Health has made great progress and I want to highlight successes such as establishment of an oncology clinic with services at Senkatana and ongoing development of a national cancer program to reduce South Africa referrals as great achievements.
