The beginning of International Cancer Week, focusing on “Addressing Cancer Care Disparities through Research and Improved Access to Treatment.” – MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION
MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today marked the beginning of International Cancer Week, focusing on “Addressing Cancer Care Disparities through Research and Improved Access to Treatment.” organized by NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR CANCER RESEARCH INC at the NAF Conference center and suites.
We were honored to have numerous cancer advocates and stakeholders and very importantly, the Minister of State for Health joining us. Our CEO, Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu delivered an inspiring welcome speech, setting the tone for the week. The Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, HE Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu also extended his support to this vital cause. A thought-provoking panel session delved into the disparities in cancer care in Nigeria, shedding light on ways to improve access to treatment.
It was an enlightening and informative day, and we’re excited to continue the dialogue throughout this important week. Let’s work together to make a difference in the fight against cancer.”
