In 2024, the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) remained dedicated to its mission of funding groundbreaking research aimed at transforming the lives of individuals affected by brain tumors. American Brain Tumor Association Has Awarded $1 Million to Advance Brain Tumor Research
The grants awarded in 2024 included significant funding for collaborative research projects, discovery-based investigations, and the development of early-career researchers through fellowships and summer programs. These projects tackled some of the most challenging issues in brain tumor research, addressing various tumor types such as glioblastomas, astrocytomas, oligodendrogliomas, meningiomas, brain metastasis, choroid plexus carcinoma, and brain stem gliomas. Through these efforts, the ABTA sought to improve outcomes for patients diagnosed with these complex and often life-threatening conditions.
