David Kerr Was Awarded the China Friendship Medal

David Kerr, Professor of cancer medicine at the University of Oxford in England, was awarded the China Friendship Medal.

Professor David James Kerr is a British Cancer Researcher. His primary area of research is treatment and management of colorectal cancer.

He served as Chief Research Advisor at Sidra Medical and Research Center in Doha, Qatar. David James Kerr is Professor of Cancer Medicine and Former Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford. He was also President-Elect for European Society for Medical Oncology.

David James Kerr’s clinical research into adjuvant therapy of early-stage colorectal cancer has contributed to saving thousands of lives over the past two decades.

He is internationally renowned for his research and treatment of colorectal cancer, having published over 400 papers.

He has also established three university spin-off companies: COBRA Therapeutics, Celleron Therapeutics, and Oxford Cancer Biomarkers.

On this occasion, David Kerr shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I was very pleased to be awarded the China Friendship Medal in a recent ceremony in the Great Hall of the People, coincidentally on the 75th founding of the PRC.

I do believe that scientific collaboration between our academic communities can only be for the good of humankind and may contribute in some way to providing health diplomatic bridges between our nations.”
