Nils Nicolay: The first data from our randomized APCOT trial

“Hot off the press – the first data from our randomized APCOT trial:

• Digital patient care seems feasible during radiotherapy (as shown for Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs) patients in the trial)
• Symptom reporting during radiotherapy is significantly improved by app-based monitoring
• The addition of digital patient care does improve patient satisfaction and some domains of quality of life

Very promising results from one of the first randomized trials of app-based digital patient care in the field of radiation oncology! And more to come…A big thanks to all contributors to the success of this trial. I am looking forward to further collaborations!
