Experienced financial toxicity among long-term cancer survivors

“In a survey of over 4000 cancer survivors:

  • 75% experienced income loss and/or extra expenses after diagnosis.
  • 1/3 of the previously employed respondents needed work disability benefits.
  • Being unable to make ends meet’ increased from 2% before diagnosis to 13%.”
