Meeting in Maastricht highlights early career researcher contributions – STRONG AYA
STRONG AYA shared the following on LinkedIn:
“Last week the STRONG AYA team met up in beautiful Maastricht to touch base on the project at one of our annual consortium meetings. We had two very special highlights this year:
1. The young scholars session, where our early career researchers presented their work in STRONG AYA. Silvie Janssen, MSc and her 17K-hit literature review, Marine Jacquemin told us about European Health Data Space, Joshi H. walked us through the UX design of our patient portal, and Kirsty W. prompted us to think about EDI work in patient recruitment.
2. We had three of our Patient Advisory Board members join us in person as well. Affiliated with Youth Cancer Europe, the PAB ran a workshop that tasked work package leads with stepping into the shoes of an AYA and thinking about how our work addresses their needs. It was a simple, powerful, and evocative exercise that will be staying with many of us. Our PAB does a LOT of heavy lifting for us in co-creation and it was an honour and privilege to have some of them join us in person. Thank you!”
