Cheri A.: New program to support research focused specifically on breast cancer in men
Cheri A., Founderof Male Breast Cancer Global Alliance, shared a post on Linkedin:
” We are proud to announce the launch of a new program to support research focused specifically on breast cancer in men.
This new initiative was kicked off by presenting a check for $10,000 to the Penn Medicine Basser Center for BRCA.
This gift, along with a generous match provided by the Basser Center, will help continue the important work of the Center’s Men and BRCA Program.
Thank you to Susan Domchek, exec Director of the Basser Center, Kara Maxwell, director of the Men and BRCA Program at the Basser Center and Michael Landesberg breast cancer survivor, BRCA carrier and MBCGA Board member who helped start the funding with his annual fundraising efforts.
No one else is focused on funding research specific to male breast cancer, and we hope to be able to expand our support and fund additional research projects in the future.”
