Winan van Houdt: Welcoming guest surgeons from Prague and Cali to share knowledge on sarcoma and melanoma
Winan van Houdt posted the following on LinkedIn:
“It is a pleasure to welcome our guest surgeons Andrej Ozaniak from Prague, Czech Republic, and Jairo Gonzales from Cali, Colombia, who are with us for a few months as visiting scholars to get more experience with the treatment of sarcoma, and also melanoma and other cancers.
We as surgical oncologists from the Netherlands Cancer Institute feel a responsibility to share knowledge and experience with other surgeons and healthcare providers in the Netherlands and beyond, hopefully to the benefit of cancer patients wherever they are.”
Winan van Houdt is a surgical oncologist at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, specializing in rare cancers such as GIST, soft tissue sarcomas (retroperitoneal, intra-abdominal, and extremity), melanoma, desmoid tumors, and non-melanoma skin cancers.
He serves as the Program Coordinator for Rare Cancers at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and chairs the Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma Group (STBSG) at the EORTC. Van Houdt is also a member of the Scientific Steering Committee for the Sarcoma Track at ESMO 2024.
