“The statistic is alarming, and in LMICs, the challenge is even more severe due to limited access to care and information.
Advocates like Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu are driving change, leading initiatives that bring early screenings and essential breast cancer education to women in remote communities.
Through her work with global health partnerships, she is creating a blueprint for sustainable action in underserved areas, inspiring hope and transforming lives.”
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) also added:
“In 2022, there were an estimated 669,418 deaths from breast cancer, with a disproportionate number of these deaths occurring in low-resource settings. Raise your voice this breast cancer awareness month.”
