Rafael Mariano Grossi emphasized the potential of nuclear science in enhancing cancer care globally. His presence underscored the collaborative efforts needed between health and nuclear sectors to improve patient outcomes. This aligns with ongoing discussions about integrating advanced technologies into cancer treatment frameworks, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus highlighted several critical points during IICC 2024, stressing the urgent need for action to combat cervical cancer and other non-communicable diseases. He underscored the importance of building resilient health systems capable of delivering essential services even during crises and called for increased investment in cancer care infrastructure to bridge existing gaps in treatment access.  His participation reaffirmed WHO’s commitment to prioritizing cancer on a global scale and showcased ongoing efforts aimed at enhancing healthcare outcomes for patients worldwide.

At the plenary sessions of IICC 2024, several distinguished speakers contributed their insights on various critical topics related to cancer care.

Princess Dina delivered a plenary session titled “Resilience in Improving Equitable Access to Cancer Care,” emphasizing the need for equitable healthcare solutions globally, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
