Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: The 1st of October marked the Nigerian Independence Day and opened up a month of Breast Cancer Awareness

“The 1st of October is usually always significant for me.

It marks the Nigerian Independence Day and opens up a month of Breast Cancer Awareness.

This year has an added significance. On the 8th of October, Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) members will elect a new president-elect.

I am proud to be one of two candidates and urge members across the globe to vote for a credible, capable, committed and communicative President, ME.”

Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu is a global cancer advocate, a pediatrician, a UICC Board Member,  Founder of the Medicaid Cancer Foundation, and the Chairperson of First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC).
