Steven A. Rosenberg is an American cancer researcher and surgeon, serving as Chief of Surgery at the National Cancer Institute and Professor of Surgery at both the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and George Washington University. He pioneered effective immunotherapies and gene therapy, becoming the first to successfully insert foreign genes into humans.
