UICC at the second high-level meeting on AMR at the UN General Assembly

“UICC and the Norwegian Cancer Society are present at the second high-level meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) at the UN General Assembly in New York to advocate for urgent action. AMR is a serious global health issue, especially for people living with cancer, who often have lower immune defences and are more vulnerable to infections. AMR undermines the substantial progress that has been made in cancer care in the past decades and threatens millions of lives.”
