Dr. Ishwaria Subbiah is the Executive Director for Cancer Care Equity and Professional Wellness at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI). Additionally, she serves as the Medical Director of Supportive Care Oncology, Health Equity, and Professional Well-Being at The US Oncology Network. Dr. Subbiah is dedicated to addressing disparities in cancer outcomes and enhancing clinical trial participation across SCRI’s extensive research network, which includes over 1,300 physicians at more than 250 locations across 24 states in the U.S.
A globally recognized expert in geriatric oncology, symptom management, palliative care, and healthcare professional well-being, Dr. Subbiah previously held the position of Associate Professor in the Division of Cancer Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her leadership roles include Chairing the ASCO Women in Oncology Working Group and participating in the ASCO State of Cancer Care in America initiative.
