“Warm congratulations to my friend John Baackes for his successful tenure leading L.A. Care Health Plan. His leadership journey is well-described in the Los Angeles Times piece below.

For those of you unfamiliar with LA Care, it is one of the nation’s largest plans focused on frail and vulnerable populations and provides coverage to more then 2 million Angelinos.

SCAN is proud to partner with John and Sameer Amin  and the rest of the team at LA Care through Welcome Health and Healthcare in Action, our medical group focused on people experiencing homelessness.

John has done an incredible job growing and transforming LA Care and has been a tireless advocate for frail and vulnerable populations. Southern California is better for his leadership. Please join me in congratulating him and wishing him well on his next phase.”
