Meritxell Mallafré Larrosa: Reflecting on last week’s World Cancer Congress
“Reflecting on last week’s World Cancer Congress. It was a privilege to co-organize a session on behalf of City Cancer Challenge with CS Pramesh and colleagues T. Peter Kingham, Dr. Isaac Alatise, Dr. Priya Ranganathan and Alfredo Polo, to discuss how evidence can be translated into practice and policy to advance quality cancer care by developing research capacity in LMICs.
Moreover, with Nicole Rankin we shared early results from our joint University of Melbourne implementation science masterclass to bridge the know-do gap among C/Can cities.
It was inspiring to reconnect with the incredible network of researchers from the Lancet Commission on Women, Power, and Cancer, Ophira Ginsburg, as well as colleagues from the global oncology community.
Next stop: UNGA in NYC—stay tuned for more updates!”
