Lykke Hinsch Gylvin: What makes a Medical / Science Congress visit truly energizing

“This is what makes a Medical / Science Congress visit truly energizing – the opportunity to engage with and listen to people who experience our innovation. As we in Boehringer Ingelheim presented positive results from our Beamion LUNG-1 trial at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, I had this unique chance to understand from Loriana Hernández-Aldama, a 2x cancer survivor and patient advocate, her observations on diversity in clinical trials, at the conference venue.
Given her experiences, she is now an ardent supporter of enhanced patient voice in drug development. To be acknowledged by her that we are on the right path to engaging with patients early on in development and trial design is a true commendation to the Boehringer team’s commitment to patient-powered progress. Please see below excerpts of our discussion.
Loriana, thank you for all your work! I look forward to us continuing this dialogue.”
