Isabel Mestres: C/Can team comes together in person to deepen connections and leadership
Isabel Mestres posted the following on LinkedIn:
“What happens when a team of passionate changemakers from 20+ countries comes together in person? MAGIC!
Last week, the entire City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) team gathered in person, and the experience was nothing but amazing. As a remote team, this was an invaluable chance to deepen our connections, align around our strategy and develop together as leaders.
A key highlight was strengthening our coaching skills, with a special thank you to Philip Atkinson, PCC, & Claire Windram from Hive-Logic for guiding us. We focused on active listening, patience, and asking better questions – empowering others to find their own solutions rather than jumping in with quick fixes. It was all about trusting the process and each other.
Here’s to even more growth, connection, and impact in the weeks ahead!
P.S. The entire C/Can team is at the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) World Cancer Congress (WCC2024)! If you’re attending, don’t miss the chance to meet them and learn about the local impact they’re making!”
