Douglas Flora: Sometimes, the ultimate self-care is embracing your inner couch potato
Douglas Flora posted the following on LinkedIn:
“Speaking in Boston this morning, but my herniated disc is making sure I don’t forget about it! Looking forward to a much-needed quiet weekend after this conference.
In that spirit, here’s a fun word from Finland: Kalsarikännit—the art of staying home, drinking in your underwear, and having zero plans to go out. Basically, it’s peak relaxation with zero expectations from society.
Hope you all have an excellent weekend (drinking in your underwear or not lol.)
By the way, Finland is consistently rated the #1 happiest country in the world; maybe they are onto something?”
