Ana Velázquez Mañana: Young people are presenting with new cancer diagnoses, many advanced.

Ana Velázquez Mañana, shared a post by Julia Maués, Co-Founder of Grasp Cancer, on X/Twitter:

This is the challenge we increasingly face in our clinics. Young people are presenting with new cancer diagnoses, many advanced, to see them face multiple obstacles to get a diagnosis, many being dismissed and ignored by healthcare systems and providers.”

Quoting Julia Maués‘ post:

“A young woman with GI issues that have lasted months has been trying to see a GI doctor. There is a significant family history of cancer. 2 major centers’ GI departments have told her they won’t see her and we still ask “Why are young people getting diagnosed with advanced disease?“”
