“This month is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and today we’re officially launching C-Further, a new $36m internationally focused consortium purpose-built with Life Arc to create more targeted therapeutics for Paediatric Cancers and to address the market failure we are observing.
Children are not small adults and treating them with aggressive chemo/radiotherapy or drugs designed for adults fails to address their unique biology and can leave them with long term side effects.
C-Further has been created to bridge this crucial gap and initiate the drug discovery process towards producing more child-first targeted medicines for children and young people with cancer.
We are looking for those who share our vision and can contribute new start points for drug discovery or can help us scale the programme. Find out how you can help and partner with us.

Tony Hickson is the Chief Business Officer of Cancer Research Horizons at Cancer Research UK (CRUK). He is responsible for the commercialization of IP from CRUK funded projects, new start-up creation, investment, licences and corporate alliances.
