Han Chong Toh, Deputy CEO of the National Cancer Centre Singapore, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Surely beyond devastating and heartbreak to lose one’s child to illness such as cancer.

When Ong Bee Yan and her husband lost their 38 year old son Rong Liang to pancreatic cancer almost a year ago, they still mustered so much strength through deep grief to found Fashion for cancer – raising awareness and funds for National Cancer Centre Singapore.

The catwalk models are all cancer patients many expressing fears and anxieties, loss of self-esteem, fertility concerns, job prospects etc. true strength inspiration courage. Rong Liang’s message to all before he passed is: ‘Don’t fear death. fear not living.’ ”
