AKU’s Dr Miriam Mutebi has been featured in the 2024 edition of ‘100 Influential Women in Oncology’ by the renowned medical journal OncoDaily.  

The list celebrates women who are making a difference in cancer research, patient care, and advocacy.

Dr Mutebi, who received the 2023 Global Health Catalyst Distinguished Leadership (LMIC) Award, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at AKU Medical College, East Africa, and a Consultant Breast Surgical Oncologist at Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, among many other roles. She is a leading advocate for women’s health and cancer care in Africa, dedicating her career to improving access to cancer treatment and empowering women in healthcare.”
