On his passing, Cincinnati Cancer Advisors shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve Abbott, our beloved Executive Director, after battling prostate cancer for more than a decade.
Under Steve’s determined leadership, Cincinnati Cancer Advisors and Cincinnati Cancer Foundation grew from a small team of three to a family of nearly 20, a testament to his vision and dedication.
No words can adequately describe Steve’s impact on our organization and lives. We will be forever grateful for the foundation he passionately built.
Steve never complained about his illness and rarely stopped working because he cared so deeply about his purpose and our mission. We will carry on his legacy with the kindness, compassion, and determination he brought to the office daily.
We ask that everyone keep Steve’s family, especially his wife Diana and mother Barbara, in your thoughts.
Thank you for being such a dedicated advocate and an amazing human being. We will miss you, Steve.
‘Steve inspired and will continue to inspire all of us with his incredible courage, grace, and dignity through such adversity. Truly one of the all-time great human beings, and we are all so fortunate for his extremely positive influence on our lives. Steve will continue to live on through all of us.’ – Dr. William Barrett, Founder.”
