Telehealth has been critical to many of my older adult patients and those living in rural parts of the state. Unfortunately, the flexible provisions associated with telehealth given after the pandemic will expire at the end of this year!
Yesterday, the ASCO Association PAC met with Diana DeGette, a strong supporter of ASCO Advocacy Priorities including telehealth (and prior auth reform!). I encourage ASCO members to login to ACT Network and let your elected officials know that we need telehealth to become permanent. This is a slam dunk, non-partisan issue!”

Cristiane D. Bergerot is the Director of the Department of Psycho-Oncology at CETTRO Cancer Research Hospital in Brasilia, Brazil. She has been working with cancer patients for almost 15 years as a clinician and as a researcher. She has over 30 peer-reviewed publications in journals including first-author publications in Cancer, Journal of Immunotherapy for Cancer, British Journal of Urology International and Pscyhooncology. She has received four merit awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Conquer Cancer Foundation and was selected for the SWOG Young Investigator Course.
