About Miriam Mutebi

Miriam Mutebi is a Breast Surgical Oncologist and Assistant Professor at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. She is also the Vice-President of East Africa for the African Organization for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC) and serves as the treasurer for the Kenya Society of Hematology and Oncology (KESHO). Additionally, she is on the Board of Directors of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and co-founded the Pan African Women’s Association of Surgeons.

Miriam is dedicated to enhancing women’s health and surgical care in Africa and is passionate about mentoring women in surgery. She is currently pursuing a pilot’s license to extend breast care services to marginalized areas, demonstrating her commitment to improving access to cancer care.
