Honoring professor Christopher Hill’s contribution to ultrasound and MRI in cancer diagnosis – The Institute of Cancer Research

“We’re remembering Professor Christopher ‘Kit’ R Hill, former Head of the Joint Department of Physics at the The Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, who significantly contributed to the development of ultrasound technology in cancer diagnosis and treatment over 50 years.
Alongside Professor Hill’s work in ultrasound, he also investigated nuclear isotopes from hydrogen bomb testing and he contributed to the introduction of MRI scanners in the UK.
We honour the continuing impact of his work on studying and treating cancer.”
