“It was with immense pride and profound gratitude that I was able to attend the signing of EMPOWER 2.0.

The EMPOWER program, which began in 2019 as a bold vision to address the disparities in women’s access to cancer care services in Kenya, has already touched tens of thousands of lives. I’m pleased to share that we have now embarked on the next phase of the project, the digital frontier. This exciting new phase will help us reach 300,000 Kenyan women with innovative cancer diagnostics and treatment.

As we step into this new phase, let us carry forward the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and compassion that has brought us this far.

This collaboration is a great example of how we can approach the transformation of cancer care in Kenya and beyond. Public-private partnerships can help bridge gaps and bring innovation.

Through the synergy of Roche’s pioneering healthcare solutions and the strategic acumen of National Cancer Institute of Kenya and Savannah Informatics Global Health Institute (SGHI), we are creating a sustainable framework that helps bring an end to geographic and financial barriers.

This collaboration is not only about addressing cancer today but also about laying the groundwork for a healthier tomorrow for Kenyans. Together, we are reshaping the landscape of cancer care and investing in the long-term well-being of the nation.
