Mareike Albert is a Research Group Leader at the Center for Regenerative Therapies TU Dresden (CRTD), Germany. Previously, she was a staff scientist at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, Germany.

She was a Postdoctoral fellow at the Biotech Research and Innovation Center in Denmark. She earned her PhD Genetics from Friedrich Miescher Institute, Basel, Switzerland.
