EORTC welcomed a group of ambassadors and diplomats to their headquarter in Brussels.
EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer, made the following post on LinkedIn:
“We are honoured to share that on 18 September, we had the pleasure of welcoming to our headquarters in Brussels a group of ambassadors and diplomats representing the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.
HRH Princess Dina Mired of Jordan, Honorary President of the EORTC Cancer Research Fund, has virtually chaired this strategic meeting to discuss the development of robust and meaningful partnerships in the region.
“The PECAN initiative promises to change the landscape of clinical cancer research in our region. Most importantly, it will give lifesaving access to clinical trials to patients in our region who have so far been excluded from such access.” – HRH Princess Dina Mired.
The goal of such a partnership initiative would be contributing to the retention of cancer patients in their countries and providing them with the highest standards of care by developing regional long-term scientific strategies and stimulating the emergence of specific clinical research hypotheses relevant to patients.”
