Join us in celebrating Ketty, a beacon of creativity and love at the Richi House
Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation shared on LinkedIn:
” ‘During Richi’s treatments, I often felt incredibly lonely and longed for a place where children with cancer and their caregivers could come together. I dreamed of creating a community where we could support each other, grow together, and walk down the path hand in hand – through treatment and beyond.’
These heartfelt words from Ketty Puig capture the essence of her journey. The second portrait of the Faces of Hope at the Richi House is dedicated to this incredible mom, whose creativity and positivity inspire everyone around her.
After relocating to Boston to seek life-saving treatment for her son, Richi, who was diagnosed with high-risk medulloblastoma, Ketty transformed her challenges into a vision: the Richi House—a vibrant sanctuary dedicated to supporting families facing childhood cancer, offering a space for survivors and their caregivers to connect and find comfort.
As the heart and soul of our gatherings, Ketty is more than just Richi Garcia Puig’s mom; she is the beloved cook and decorator, pouring her love into every detail. ‘What I enjoy most about the sessions is seeing the children truly relax and be themselves,’ she shares.
Like a whirlwind of positivity, Ketty’s unwavering dedication is fueled by a deep-rooted passion for helping others. ‘I’ve always loved helping people,’ she says. ‘Now I can help a lot of children and parents, and I love that.’
Looking to the future, Ketty envisions the Richi House not just as a place for unforgettable events but as a growing beacon of hope that reaches more families everywhere. ‘What excites me most is the potential to help even more families in the childhood cancer community,’ she beams.
Her dream is for the Richi House to continue expanding its impact, offering solace and joy to countless families on their journey through childhood cancer.
Join us in celebrating Ketty, a beacon of creativity and love at the Richi House, whose spirit continues to uplift and inspire us all!”
