Idalid Franco is a Radiation Oncologist and inaugural Director of Equity, Access, and Inclusion for the Department of Radiation Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Harvard Medical School. She is a national leader and innovator in the DEI space, creating multiple initiatives that have increased awareness on the important role of diversity, equity, and inclusion within radiation oncology.
The NRG Oncology Summer 2024 meeting took place from July 25-27 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel in Denver, CO. This in-person event provided a collaborative and constructive learning environment for clinicians, researchers, and industry members to engage with the latest advancements in cancer research. Select sessions were also available via Zoom, ensuring wider accessibility. Attendees had the opportunity to discuss, learn, and develop new ideas, fostering significant progress in the fight against cancer.
