Fumiko Ladd Chino: 5 years worth of thank you cards
Fumiko Ladd Chino is transitioning from her current job to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Fumiko Ladd Chino was an Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, who specializes in gynecological and breast cancers. She was also a caregiver for her husband Andrew Mark Ladd, PhD who died from cancer in 2007.
She is a recipient of numerous awards, including ASCO Excellence in Equity Award (2022), Duke Radiation Oncology Award for Outstanding Clinical Research (2019), Duke University Hospital “Good Catch” Award (2018), Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Merit Award (2018), Duke University School of Medicine Dean’s Recognition Award (2014) and Memorial Hermann Hospital, Texas Medical Center Volunteer of the Year Award (2009).
Fumiko Ladd Chino made a post on X about her transition:
“Packing up my Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in anticipation of movers coming next week. 5 years worth of thank you cards don’t weigh much but they are profoundly important to me. It has been a blessing to care for these patients and their families. This will be my sunshine box.”
