“Today Marks the End of an Unforgettable Journey in My Life!
As I bid farewell to the Jagiellonian University Department of Oncology, my heart overflows with gratitude and deep emotion. These past two months have been a profound journey of growth, compassion, and learning that has left an indelible mark on my soul.
I had the privilege of working alongside some of the most amazing, dedicated doctors, all tirelessly striving to provide the highest quality care for cancer patients. Witnessing their commitment and expertise firsthand has been incredibly inspiring.
I extend my deepest thanks to Prof.Piotr J. Wysocki who graciously accepted me and provided this incredible opportunity. His support and patience throughout the challenging application and visa process were truly remarkable. I can never thank him enough for this life-changing experience.
A special mention goes to Dr Paweł Potocki with whom I had the pleasure of working throughout this internship. Dr. Potocki is, hands down, the most intelligent, caring, and dedicated doctor I have ever worked with. His passion for oncology is truly inspiring, and he has an incredible talent for teaching. His office is always filled with students eager to learn from him as he tirelessly explains complicated oncology topics in a simple and understandable manner.
He embodies all the qualities of a great mentor and leader. Dr. Potocki’s dedication to his students and patients is unparalleled. He always made time for my questions, providing thoughtful and detailed explanations, and his encouragement has boosted my confidence immensely. I went home every day with a wealth of knowledge thanks to him. His mentorship has not only enhanced my understanding of oncology but has also instilled in me a deeper appreciation for the field.
I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have had the opportunity to be mentored by him. His influence will undoubtedly shape my future career. I can never thank him enough for everything he has taught me and for the unwavering support he has provided throughout this journey.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to my dear Maria Rozpłoch-Sapa, an absolute sweetheart and a brilliant doctor. Maria made me feel welcomed from day one, tirelessly translating cases from Polish to English so we could discuss them together. Her help in navigating the hospital and understanding the system was invaluable. Thank you so much, Maria. I have no doubt that you will become an outstanding oncologist.
