Wrexham will host Terry Fox Run to raise money for cancer research – The Institute of Cancer Research
The Institute of Cancer Research shared a post on LinkedIn:
”’As a Canadian, Terry Fox and his legacy have been a source of inspiration in my life for as long as I can remember. Having been a part of the Wrexham community for the last few years, it is truly remarkable to know that these two deeply meaningful parts of my life will soon come together in the first ever Terry Fox Run in Wrexham this upcoming October.’
Thank you to actor and co-owner of Wrexham AFC, Ryan Reynolds, for backing the Terry Fox Run UK as it comes to Wrexham for the first time on Sunday 13 October.
Wrexham will be the first Welsh host of a Terry Fox Run, in honour of Canadian hero Terry Fox, to raise money for our vital cancer research.
The event is free to enter and open to all abilities. Whether you are running, walking or cycling, all the funds raised will make a big difference in our mission to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.
Alongside the event at Wrexham’s Bellvue Park, participants can also take part at our other locations nationwide, including London and Glasgow.
Join us and thousands of others to help us transform the future of cancer treatment.”
