Roupen Odabashian: Customer Service in Healthcare
Roupen Odabashian shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Customer Service in Healthcare.
Today, for the first time ever, I called the hospital and was immediately greeted by an operator, not an answering machine.
I was so pleased, and that changed my entire experience and my perception of the hospital and how it treats its patients.
Being greeted by a human being makes you feel more valued, and you don’t have to listen to an answering machine that gives 10 different options.
This brings me to one of the points about the advancement of AI.
I wonder how well (I’m sure it will do a good job) an AI agent can listen to patients and direct them to the right section of the hospital instead of an answering machine. And how do people feel towards these AI agents?
Is anyone aware of available AI tools that are being used in this way? Any hospitals using such tools?”
