Alice Avancini: Exercise promotion in cancer by the oncologists
Kathryn Schmitz, Oncology researcher at Pitt’s School of Medicine and the director of UPMC Hillman’s Exercise Oncology efforts, reposted a post by Alice Avancini, Postdoctoral researcher at University of Verona, on X, adding:
”Confirms an ASCO workforce survey published by Ligibel et al… at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center we embedded a rehab navigator and an electronic survey to increase referrals to 45%. This is a fixable problem. Clinical work flows can change. We can do this.”
Quoting Alice Avancini’s post:
”Exercise promotion in cancer by the oncologists!!! How are we doing? Our latest investigation, published in ESMO Open – European Oncology, the CONNECT study, has tried to answer this question!!”
