Andrius Žučenka: Happy to see our patients in sustained MRDnegative CRs

Andrius Žučenka, Head of The Department of Specialized Care For Immunocompromised Patients at VUL Santaros Klinikos, shared a thread on X:

“Last week I was incredibly happy to see our 24 and 33 year old patients in sustained MRDnegaitve CRs (Complete Remission). Both had extremely poor risk ND AML with MECOMr and -7.
Patients underwent very intensive frontline sequential all-at-once triple therapy: DacVen, directly followed by FLAG-Ida+Ven and MAC alloSCT.

Both patients were discharged in good status after only 1.5months from diagnosis to engraftment and CR.

In June we had an interview with one of the patients, it’s hard to tell who’s the patient and who is the doctor.”
