Walid Kamoun: Advancing Oncology Drug Discovery Through AI-Powered Target Identification

Walid Kamoun, Vice President, Global Head of R&D Oncology at Servier, shared on LinkedIn:

”At a conference focused on Al and data-driven drug discovery (AIDDD), it was great to bring the conversation back to what ultimately matters: patients.

I had the pleasure of presenting our work in oncology using advanced Al-powered target identification to discover novel targets with the potential to open new therapeutic opportunities.

The technology is exciting. The science is moving incredibly fast. But neither is the end goal.
The real measure of these technologies is whether they help us discover better medicines, faster, and ultimately save lives.

In a tech-heavy environment, it was important to zoom back out and remember why we innovate in the first place: to bring transformative therapies to patients who are waiting for them.

That is the promise of Al in drug discovery that excites me most.
Thanks to Caroline Liot for building an amazing Al-powered target ID that I had the pleasure to present.”
