A new initiative in Leeds is integrating community pharmacies to help identify lung cancer symptoms early.

This project aims to improve access to diagnostic testing, especially for underserved populations. Early diagnosis is crucial for better lung cancer outcomes.

Key Details:

•  Running until July 2024
• 40+ participating pharmacies in Leeds

Supported by the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, this pilot project uses community pharmacies to improve early detection and patient care.
