“FACT 1: HPV associated cancers are on the increase.
FACT 2: PLWHIV have a higher risk for cancers associated with HPV infection.
FACT3: SA rates amongst countries in Africa with the highest HIV rate. 3rd Highest after neighbours Eswatini and Lesotho.
QUESTION – are we actively doing something about screening at Primary Health Care level.
Let us HOPE that the HIV organisations attending AIDS 2024 came back with loads of information to address this issues in collaboration with dedicated cancer CSOs.”
