Nirmala Bhoo Pathy: Pride of showcasing 15 years of data proving our strides in breast cancer control in Malaysia
Nirmala Bhoo Pathy shared on LinkedIn:
“Just had an amazing afternoon at the National Cancer Congress in Sunway! Big gratitude to National Cancer Society Malaysia and Sunway University for the invitation.
Nothing beats the pride of showcasing 15 years of data proving our strides in breast cancer control in Malaysia. Huge thanks to our hospital-based registries and our wonderful team at University of Malaya and SJMC (Subang Jaya Medical Centre).
We’ve made great progress in improving access to most therapies, especially targeted therapies, and have seen a boost in survival rates. But late-stage diagnosis remains a mammoth challenge..
So, we can’t stop here.. The hope is to double down on early detection and make lifesaving cancer treatments accessible to all.
Stay tuned for our upcoming publication with more granular data and detailed discussions on policy implications and future directions!
Onward and upward!”
