“ESMOGynae24: Advances over the last decade have changed the management of gynecological cancers, particularly in prevention, molecular classification for tailored treatment, and overcoming treatment resistance.
🔹Endometrial Cancer: New molecular classification for better treatment selection. Minimally invasive surgery with sentinel node mapping is now recommended.
🔹Cervical Cancer: HPV vaccination programs, including single-dose regimens, offer hope for preventing cervical cancer.
🔹Ovarian Cancer: Genetic testing and opportunistic salpingectomy may help prevent ovarian cancer. Improved understanding of resistance mechanisms and radio-imaging guided surgery could overcome treatment resistance.
