“The European Week Against Cancer starts today! Did you know that EWAC takes place every year between 25 and 31 May?
The campaign aims to raise awareness about cancer prevention, access to treatment, and support for patients and survivors. At SIOPE, we’re committed to raising awareness about childhood cancer as the voice of the European Childhood Cancer Community.
Day 1 Theme: Primary Prevention!
Our Strategic Plan includes an objective ‘To understand the causes of pediatric cancers and to address prevention wherever possible.’ Relatively few causative factors have been identified for childhood cancers, so we aim to increase research focused on predisposition and oncogenic drivers.
