Nick Bird: If anybody would like to help Scooby Doo help Solving Kids’ Cancer UK to help children then every penny is very gratefully received

“Everyone who knows me knows how committed I am to helping children with cancer, and through Solving Kids’ Cancer UK children with neuroblastoma in particular. They also know I’m into running. And that I can be a bit crazy. My voluntary work honours Adam’s memory, the running keeps me sane, and everyone should be a bit crazy at times.

Having completed my first London Marathon in 2015 it’s difficult to ask people to sponsor me for something I do anyway. So, having run a 10K in 2017 and half-marathon in 2023 as Scooby Doo, I decided to don the suit for one last time tomorrow morning … and afternoon … to run round the streets of London and soak up the unique atmosphere of this amazing event.
