Sunil Verma: I am proud to share that AstraZeneca and Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) have launched a new grant programme

Sunil Verma, Senior Vice President of Global Head of Oncology at AstraZeneca, shared on LinkedIn:

“I am proud to share that AstraZeneca and Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) have launched a new grant programme aimed at improving breast cancer care for patients regardless of who they are, or where they live.

In its first year, the Powering Breast Cancer Progress grant programme will focus on improving awareness of, and access to, breast cancer patient navigation among underserved populations.

Patient navigation is a critical resource that can have a positive impact on individual patient care and healthcare services. However, in some cases there are significant barriers to accessing patient navigation services and these are even more pronounced amongst underserved patients.

I encourage advocacy groups supporting breast cancer patients to apply for this grant. We are keen to learn more about all the innovative ideas you have that will have a profound impact on patients’ lives. For more information and to submit your application, please visit this link.”
